If you’ve ever been in the Western Hill area you know it’s in desperate need of some new businesses. Fortunately, Market West Goods has opened up shop and is bringing life into the community with an incredible selection of vintage goods, delicious food, and some of the best iced coffee in the city.
Driving along Pelham you’ll notice the recently upgraded green Market West building. Inside, you’re often welcomed by owner Nikki, and overwhelmed with amazing colors, trinkets, and vintage items throughout the space. Once I found out that Nikki also does photography it all clicked, the decor, layout, and colours create an amazing atmosphere perfect for enjoying a drink and good company.
My visits are often filled with an hour of browsing her selection that changes from week to week. You can find vintage glassware, ties, chairs, leather notebooks, lamps, clothes, and so much more.
It’s also no secret that I love the mocha iced coffees Nikki makes. It has the perfect amount of sweetness in the coffee with delicious whipped cream on top. One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is pop by for a couple hours for an iced coffee and enjoy the music playing or a light read from the newspaper. It really is the perfect way to start your day.
Nikki has a variety of snacks, beer, and wine as well. So if you’re ever in the area and want to have a drink on date night or just do some reading, then Market West might just be the spot for you. Make sure you keep an eye out for her workshops too, she has some great events throughout the month so be sure to follow Market West Goods on Instagram!
